Terms & Conditions

1.Program Overview

The Solar Assistance Program is a charitable initiative of Roshan Foundation to provide solar energy systems free of cost to selected households. This program is funded through donations and implemented in phases across designated areas.

2.Application & Eligibility

• Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or installation.
• Applications are assessed based on need, vulnerability, and site suitability, as determined by Roshan Foundation’s internal criteria.

• Selection is strictly at the sole discretion of the Foundation. Decisions are final, binding, and not open to appeal.

• Beneficiaries may be prioritized in accordance with program phases, geographic focus, and available resources.

3.Verification

• Applicants must provide accurate and complete information.
• Roshan Foundation reserves the right to conduct background checks, community references, and on-site inspections.

• Providing false or misleading information may result in immediate disqualification.

4.Installation & Ownership

• Solar systems will be installed only at verified addresses and suitable sites.
• Until official handover, all equipment remains the property of Roshan Foundation.
• Beneficiaries agree not to sell, transfer, or misuse the donated equipment.

5.Limitations of Support

• The size and capacity of the solar package are determined by the Foundation based on need and resources.
• No cash or alternative compensation will be provided in lieu of equipment.
• Roshan Foundation is not responsible for system damage caused by negligence, unauthorized alterations, theft, extreme weather, or grid fluctuations.

6.Warranties & Maintenance

• Manufacturer warranties (if applicable) apply as per their terms.
• Routine maintenance, such as panel cleaning, is the responsibility of the beneficiary.
• Service requests may be chargeable if damage results from misuse or negligence.

7.Data Privacy & Consent

• By applying, applicants consent to the collection and use of their personal data (including CNIC, contact details, photos, and location) for verification, reporting, and donor accountability.
• Data may be shared with authorized partners under confidentiality agreements.
• Applicants may opt-in separately to allow use of photos/videos for awareness campaigns.
• Data will be securely stored and retained only for as long as required by law and program audits.

8.Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roshan Foundation, its staff, and volunteers shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from application, installation, or use of the solar system.

9.Program Changes

• Roshan Foundation reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the program, or alter eligibility criteria, without prior notice.10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any matters arising will be resolved exclusively by Roshan Foundation’s internal processes.
